چکیده

Laboratory experiments were used to determine the suitability of raw industrial by-products obtained within United Kingdom that are being taken landfill sites and develop a hydraulically bound cementitious material for applications in road (base), foundation, subgrade pavement construction. The predominantly sourced locally. Tests carried out mechanical stability by-product binders performance determined strength development by time. High-pressure permeability tests performed materials, frost susceptibility conducted freeze–thaw resistance materials. Compressive at 7, 14, 28, 90, 180 days age. Strength on hydraulic paste was slow during early stages hydration mixtures containing 40%–60% ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS). After 28 up 90 when ultimate achieved, increased with presence GGBS 60%. Ternary proportions 20% plasterboard waste gypsum (PWG); reclaimed asphalt filler (RAF), 60% GGBS, 10% vitamin B5 (V-B5G); 30% RAF; attained highest compressive strengths 41 40 MPa, respectively, days. One dominant factors influenced calcium sulfate, CaSO4 (CaO+SO3), PWG V-B5G materials; silicate, CaSiO3 (CaO+SiO2), GGBS; pozzolanic activity (SiO2+Fe2O3+Al2O3) RAF. results suggest most mixes groups suitable use as (base) foundation

Full Usage of Reclaimed Asphalt Concretes as Bases

Recycling of asphalt concrete is increasingly used as a major rehabilitation method in Japan because it can conserve natural resources, reduce costs and save energy. In this study, reclaimed asphalt concrete from Tokyo International Airport was evaluated for use in four types of base materials: recycled granular material, recycled cement stabilized material, recycled cement-emulsified asphalt s...

critical period effects in foreign language learning:the influence of maturational state on the acquisition of reading, writing, and grammar in english as a foreign language

since the 1960s the age effects on learning both first and second language have been explored by many linguists and applied linguists (e.g lennerberg, 1967; schachter, 1996; long, 1990) and the existence of critical period for language acquisition was found to be a common ground of all these studies. in spite of some common findings, some issues about the impacts of age on acquiring a second or...

Sustainable Studies on Concrete with GGBS As a Replacement Material in Cement

The utilization of supplementary cementation materials is well accepted, since it leads to several possible improvements in the concrete composites, as well as the overall economy. The present paper is an effort to quantify the strength of ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS) at various replacement levels and evaluate its efficiencies in concrete. Cement with GGBS replacement has emerged...
